It is important to provide your pet rabbit with plenty of room to move around in his hutch. I also like to let my rabbits out everyday for a number of hours so that they can stretch their legs and do what rabbits love to do, jump, binky & run. That way they also get to nibble on the fresh grass and socialise with their bunny friends (if you have other pets). Obviously though, be very aware of preditors, you may think your bunnies are safe with a six foot fence around your garden but foxes can jump that and there is also a slight risk that your young bun could be carried away by a bird of prey.
Here are some hutches that I consider to be ideal:
This one above is what my rabbits have (one each), it has a nesting box for them to sleep in, a sheltered bit for them to keep away from the wind. It also allows them access to grass while shut in and freedom to stretch out and hop about while you are not around.
